a bit of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Heizer">Michael Heizer</a> land art in miniature. During inservice at the beginning of the year some students were carefully filling it with a layer of garden soil and then tamping the soil down with the backs of their shovels. That same courtyard is also occupied by a cadre of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miscanthus_sinensis"><i>Miscanthus</i></a> grasses placed in such random locations that they, coupled with the triangular trench, act as signifiers in some obscure text on the symbolic order of the adolescent mind.<div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/4744994671742038891-4300264294533386079?l=art1wwshs.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>Dane Larsennoreply@blogger.com0
